OUR REFUND POLICY


DEPOSITS

All deposits are non refundable or transferable.  

Where a trip has no deposit available an admin fee for cancellation will be mentioned on the booking page.  This can vary from per booking or per person depending on the trip and the costs incurred to Family Outings Ltd.


CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

Where the customer cancels a trip our standard refund policy is outlined below. 

OVERNIGHT TRIPS (With Accommodation):

  • 28 days+ notice – Full refund minus the deposit amount for the booking.
  • 8-27 days notice – 50% refund of TOTAL cost of booking amount.
  • Within 7 days – Zero Refund.

DAY TRIPS (Without Accommodation):

  • 14 days+ notice – Full refund minus the deposit amount for the booking.
  • 8-13 days notice – 50% refund of TOTAL cost of booking amount.
  • Within 7 days – Zero Refund.

PLEASE NOTE – Some trips may differ in refund policy to that above.  If this is the case it will be mentioned on the booking page of that particular trip in standard size writing (no hidden small print) or sent in a separate email before booking.  Although this is rare it is the customers responsibility to read all information before booking a trip.

CANCELLATION DUE TO DEATH

Where a cancellation is caused by death we will do all we can to provide a full refund upon the receipt of a death certificate. This is at the discretion of every case but we will do our very best to issue a full refund.

COVID-19 CANCELLATION

If a trip must be cancelled by Family Outings Ltd for any reason (including Covid-19) a full refund will be issued within 10 working days.

If a trip must be cancelled by the customer due to having Covid-19 or being required to isolate by law our standard cancellation terms still apply.  As a cancellation due to Covid-19 is likely to be short notice it may be worth researching travel insurance for such an occurrence.
